The pandemic is over.

On the other hand, the consequences of the pandemic will be with us for much longer. With unprecedented restrictions imposed on the life and liberty of Canadians, we have now entered a pivotal period in history where the rule of law is key. Citizen Investigation Services Canada (CISC) was formed to investigate the actions of government entities, public health officials, as well as the institutions and individuals acting under their influence. We are a volunteer organization staffed by legal counsel, law enforcement and community representatives.

Our mandate is to independently evaluate whether actions committed during the COVID-19 public health crisis were in violation of criminal law (both national and international). We are in the process of gathering evidence and testimony, as well as capturing and archiving documentation through Freedom of Information and Access to Information requests. In the process, we will consult with a wide range of specialists to expand knowledge of legal rights, responsibilities and possible liability in each sector.

We want to hear from you. If you have experienced hardship as a result of actions taken by individuals representing government, public health, health care, or a business, your testimony will help us refine our understanding and develop case briefs to consider bringing charges.
