Code of Conduct
The following Code of Conduct must be agreed and adhered to by all affiliates, partners, volunteers, staff, and representatives of CISC (referred to simply as “affiliates” for the purpose of this document). Affiliates must:

Conduct themselves in accordance with the rule of law at all times, and actively support CISC’s adherence to the rule of law;

Be familiar with and adhere to provincial and federal privacy laws, so as to maintain the highest level of discretion and security of legally privileged and personal information and materials;

Maintain the highest standard of professionalism in public, representing the face of lawful, respectful citizens that comprise CISC;

Approach every aspect of the investigatory process with an open mind, and a readiness to consider all possibilities;

Suspend all opinions or judgement on any person or organization so as to allow the investigation(s) to follow the evidence wherever it reasonably leads;

Maintain a positive working relationship with the team of affiliates that make up the CISC, so as to work to progress our investigation(s) efficiently and constructively;

Follow CISC’s internal data processing and protection policies, including conducting CISC-related tasks behind the protection of the organization’s Virtual Private Network;

Operate with the understanding that any and all communications taking place within CISC channels (including email and text messages) can be subject to review in the court of law.
